Classes start April 21st from 8-8:45am at or near the Burnaby BCIT Campus and will run till early fall. “Outdoor Boot Camp" utilizes body weight strength exercises, cardio, core and flexibility training. Expect your balance and heart rate to be challenged as you perform plyo metrics and direction changes during the workout. You may bring a pair of 5-10lb weights to excel your workout and learn how to use them on your own. They can be purchased from any fitness retailer like Fitness Depot or Walmart. All levels of healthy individuals may join. $60 for 6 consecutive Saturdays. Call 604-992-8817 or e-mail to join.
The nutrition analysis breaks down your diet into its basic elements of carbohydrates, fat, protein and water and all your vitamins and minerals consumed. All material will be listed in bar graphs and spreadsheets with a list of the most important recommendations to see changes in your health. The analysis uses your height, weight, age and activity level and 3 consecutive days of your diet including alcohol and supplements you may be using. All for just $60

Somatotyping is an evaluation of the shape of your body which is a combination of 3 components. With this somatotype rating you may compare yourself with a list of professional athletes in different sport to see where your body type would excel.
The 3 components of measurement are Endomorphy (% of fat within the body), Mesomorphy (development of muscular, skeletal system) and Ectomorphy (linearity of the body). The measurements include body fat calliper testing, flexed arm and calf diameter, humerus and femur width, and height and weight. Applied with specific formulas you have your somatotype for only $30.
I completed several triathlons leading up to Ironman Penticton in August of 2010 which consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run. This video has footage from some of these events including Ironman. What an experience; all the energy from the thousands of fans and volunteers made the event go faster than anticipated. It was a great way to challenge my mind and body
